We are a big band based in the Essex town which is an anagram of our name. We are available for high quality functions, be it a concert, a dance, a Birthday celebration, whatever, and will travel.
We have a large repertoire, ranging from the 30s and 40s, through to the noughties, and can do special requests by prior arrangement. When we say big band, we mean precisely that. We have around 16 to 19 members. Obviously we can play quietly, all our members are good musicians, and we can be loud enough for any venue. Background music in between the bands sets can be provided at a small charge.

Although we can sometimes do short notice gigs, the practicalities of getting a large no. of people together at the same time, the other bookings we have and tailoring the music to your needs means the longer lead time we have the better job we can do, as we are musicians we like the sound you hear to be the best we can manage, so please ring as soon as you think you might want us. Please note until we have accepted your deposit and confirmed the gig is provisional.
So what do we sound like? Well we could put something up for you to link to, but how do you know what you are hearing is what you will get? We have a better idea. Come to one of our practices and listen for half an hour or so. Or come to one of our gigs, assuming it is open to the public. After all we are about live music.
